I saw your band play at the Gaelic Club last night. I gotta say i was dissapointed. Your singer is great, he’s got an emotive voice and knows how to play to the crowd. Plus your guitarists and drummer give it their all. But the sprawling and meandering nature of most of your songs got a little tired after a while. I do like your latest album, and really enjoyed the handful of songs you played off it, but you also insisted on playing lots of old songs that hardly anyone in the crowd would have known.
My major gripe with the show was with your two female keyboardists. Everyone else in the band looked and sounded great, but your two keyboardists just stood their looking bored. Even the fact that one of them was rather hot didn’t save them from the fact that they looked like they’d rather be at home watching television wallowing in misery. C’mon girls, your band is really succesful, you get to travel the world, you’re playing to a rapturous crowd in Sydney and your band mates are going off, loving every minute. Yet you stand dead still, emotionless and just kill the vibe.
Oh well, you got my $40, i saw you play some songs i really love off your album, but you left a rather ho hum taste in my mouth.
dear dears part 2.
a one man show with 3 talented support musicians and two fucking manequins, one hot, one grey with not so much as a snarl, let alone a smile. i call her the grey nurse. and i say fuck you grey nurse. fuck you.
yes, those girls needed to spark the fuck up. i’m not that fussed on the gaelic club as a venue either, its kind of sterile..
Yeah i’m not a fan of the Gaelic Club either. Much prefer Spectrum on the smaller side or The Metro on the bigger side.
