Sunday afternoon saw 400 hundred odd folks more used to the dark insides of Spectrum and Purple Sneakers board a boat dubbed The Loveboat to cruise round the harbour. The Mares, The Valentinos and The Presets entertained. It was great fun.
Of course i took photos – you can see them in the Loveboat Cruise album.
In other gig related news Datarock are playing at The Mandarin Club this Sunday. By all accounts their live shows are loads of fun. Diplo is playing on the Saturday night. It’s a big weekend for the old Mandarin Club. More details at PopFrenzy.
PS. I’ve double booked myself for the night of March 4th when Jens Lekman (and others to be announced) is playing a show on Sydney Harbour (same boat as The Presets gig) – anyone want to buy my ticket? I paid $52.50. I’ll sell it for $40. It’ll be worth it.
