To see The Town Bikes is to love The Town Bikes. They’re a unique dancing duo who, in the words of their bio are “part burlesque, part slapstick, part sick-joke and part sexed-up rock eisteddfod”. Bloody good fun i say.

They look fan-farkin’-tastic. I’ve been wanting to see the Town Bikes for ages, and eventually it must happen.

I see you have the Canon 350d. I just bought one, and was wondering what lens(es) you use. I’m not the hugest fan of the 18-55mm kit lens and was thinking of getting the 28-105mm f4-5.6 USM (so many mothertruckin’ letters and I feel like a spammer now) and the 50mm prime for concerts and low light and whatnot. I’ve read really mixed reviews of the zoom, and your photos are sharp as, so I’d really like to know what you use.
If you say it’s any of the L lenses I’ll cry into my poverty.

I can’t afford those L lenses either. I’ve got two lenses i use, a Tamron 28-75mm f2.8 lens and a Canon 50mm f1.4. I love them both. The 50mm f1.8 lens is better value than the 1.4, and is very similar.
Those two lenses cover most of what i shoot, the only things i sometimes covet are a proper wide angle lens and a bigger zoom. But you can always hire those if there’s a particular thing you need to shoot.

To see the Town Bikes is to indeed love them.
God, they’re fucking ADORABLE. Great pics, spunk x

I saw the Town Bikes with Bob Log III. What a combo. It took Bob Log to a whole new level. Loved it!!!!
The girl on the right looks like she used to be a dude. Weird.
Thanks for that, Dan. The Tamron looks quite delicious, and possibly even affordable.
Awesome pics!
Looking brilliant on all counts!
Cheers, BBB)))
