First it was Telstra, then Girlfriend and now PC Magazine in the US is giving me a plug – under the headline "Heroes of Social Networking" no less. Hyperbole much?
Since when did i become the poster-child for blogging/social networking success?
I’ve had a decent run of photo opportunities in the past week though – Friday i photographed a gig by The Sleepy Jackson (pictured above) for their label, Monday and Tuesday i shot Coldplay at the Entertainment Centre and tonight i took pictures of Kasey Chambers at her album listening party. And somewhere in between all that i was ill with the flu and worked my regular job.
No doubt my online personal publishing activities have been important in getting to the stage where i’m able to get such plum gigs. I’m still not making much money from photos – but it’s great fun. And that’s the main thing innit?
I promise to get back to less trumpet blowing and more regular blogging shortly…
Wow, great exposure! I’ll have to think about Flickr as a result of reading that article. It’s always seemed too much of an effort but I’ll look into it.
