Last Friday night i headed to World Bar in Kings Cross for free cocktails courtesy of The Brag and see my perennial faves Pinky Tuscadero plus new sensation Mercy Arms.
Pinky were awesome as usual. They are so much fun. Download a couple of tracks at their Triple J Unearthed page and spread the Pinky T gospel.
Mercy Arms seem to be the hype band of the moment. Fresh off a tour supporting The Strokes, rumours are flying of a multi-million dollar record deal with Capitol and recordings with TV on the Radio guitarist David Sitek. Thankfully the band have the talent to back up the buzz. They look like rock stars, they have great songs and had the largely female crowd in a lather.
I’m sure you’ll be hearing more from them.
I just noticed that in all these pictures apart from the 2nd someone is wearing stripes. I guess they’re still in.
