Top photographs of 2007
This bluejuice photo was my most 'interesting' photo of 2007 according to Flickr.
It's that time of year when people publish their annual "Best Of" lists. There's a massive amount of music lists, but here i'll compile photography ones.
Top photographs of 2007 from:
- Sydney Morning Herald photographers
- Time Magazine
- Reuters
- Sports Illustrated
- Wired Magazine
- MSNBC
- Flickr photographers
- Fashion photographers
I couldn't possibly compile a personal best of list of my photos. I've probably taken tens of thousands of photos this year and i forget most of them quite soon after i shoot them. Plus on review i tend to find flaws in all of them.
But it's been a good year of photography for me, with the highlight being the full-time photo job. It's bound to keep me busy snapping all sorts in 2008.

Cut Copy and Patrick Wolf
Here's some old-ish photos from a couple of gigs back in November - Patrick Wolf and Cut Copy, both playing at The Metro.
I wasn't very familiar with Patrick Wolf, but was impressed and can see why he inspires such a cult following.
Cut Copy's gig was their first live outing for quite sometime after drip feeding songs off their album due out next year.
Have a listen to latest single So Haunted (mp3 | 4.9MB) via Bigstereo and also this hour long "mix mp3" (mp3 | 55MB) via anthem.

Merry Christmas
Hope you're all enjoying some time off work, devouring food and spending time with the family.
These are some snaps i took for the Christmas edition of Time Out Sydney.

Homebake 2007 photos
Here's some photos from Homebake 2007. The day was headlined by the Divinyls on the main stage and Pnau on the Dome stage. Both acts put on fantastic sets, which was a surprising since they've both been off the performing circuit for a while. Chrissie Amphlett still has all the moves as a frontwoman and was a joy to watch.
Elton John's new favourite act Pnau still has it too, revving the crowd up with a pretty spectacular live show.
Some of the other acts on the all Aussie (and the odd Kiwi) lineup included Cut Copy, Belles Will Ring, Sarah Blasko, Angus and Julia Stone, Missy Higgins, Paul Dempsey, Missy Higgins and Scribe.

Levity Party at Oxford Art Factory
It's been a bit quiet here in blogland. Work has been relentless and the internet was cut off at home after the greedy corporate bastards at Telstra delivered a $3000 bill. After i was so nice as to be their poster child for photoblogging. Fuckers.
But onwards. Here's some photos from the Levity Records christmas party at Oxford Art Factory (where else?) last Friday. Levity's two bands Mercy Arms and Cut Off Your Hands were due to play, but unfortunately Cut Off Your Hands had to cancel after lead singer Nick broke his ankle jumping from a speaker stack onstage in London. Bummer.
In their place The Scare played who, like Cut Off Your Hands, have an unpredictable and wild stage show, with lead singer Kiss spending much of the set in the crowd getting in scrapes. Andrew G loved it.
My social shots plus the odd band photo can be seen in the Levity party photo gallery.
