I’m a bit late in linking to it, but i posted photos from a gig i went to last weekend. It was The Holy Soul and Red Riders at the opening of a new Sydney venue called Spectrum.

Spectrum is on Oxford St Darlinghurst and had an illustrious past as the Lizard Lounge. Besides the new name it’s been given a lick of colourful paint, new lights, a ton of mirrorballs, a proper stage and a respectable PA. It was packed out for the opening night, so hopefully it’s a sign of a fruitful future. For the time being they only seem to have gigs on Friday nights, except this Friday there’s no actual gig. But they do have the Fiery Furnaces spinning some tunes after the Franz Ferdinand show along with local girls Kiosk.

Anyway, here’s the pics of the Holy Soul and Red Riders gig last Friday. I’ve also posted some shots of my weekend conviviality including the usual shots of silly dancing, posturing and people in 80′s get up.
