Before i post some new band press shots i’ve done lately i thought i’d dig up some older ones that i recently found on my hard drive and put on Flickr.

Above is Pinky Tuscadero in 2005 in a photo that never saw teh light of day. Pinky are sadly no longer with us having disbanded in the new year. But expect new musical projects to emerge from the ashes.

Belles Will Ring

Belles Will Ring at Rose Seidler House. They are playing some shows soon and have a new song on the radio called Park Benches.

An outtake from the Young and Restless shoot you’d think i’d have done to death by now. They are playing at the opening night of Bad Kids Recreation Club (BKRC) in Sydney on Saturday.

Dappled Cities Fly

And a Dappled Cities Fly photo which didn’t make the original cut. Dappled are playing in Sydney next weekend at Paddington Townhall and the Laneway festival before jetting off to America.

Here’s some pictures of Vendettas and Pinky Tuscadero at Spectrum on the 19th October.

This was Vendettas second ever gig but you’ll be hearing plenty more from them. They have heaps of gigs lined up and support from all the right people. In the audience at this Spectrum show were members of Van She, The Valentinos and Mercy Arms. With fans like that they’ll be popular with all the local scenesters in no time.

Their myspace says they’re playing at the Modular Christmas party and it sure helps to have Modular on your side. With airplay on Triple J already and good raps from whothehell.net and Big Stereo it seems Vendettas have really jumped the gate on the path to success.

But the headliners at the gig last week were my perennial faves Pinky Tuscadero. Hayley really is the best frontwoman i know.

Last Friday night i headed to World Bar in Kings Cross for free cocktails courtesy of The Brag and see my perennial faves Pinky Tuscadero plus new sensation Mercy Arms.

Pinky were awesome as usual. They are so much fun. Download a couple of tracks at their Triple J Unearthed page and spread the Pinky T gospel.

Mercy Arms

Mercy Arms seem to be the hype band of the moment. Fresh off a tour supporting The Strokes, rumours are flying of a multi-million dollar record deal with Capitol and recordings with TV on the Radio guitarist David Sitek. Thankfully the band have the talent to back up the buzz. They look like rock stars, they have great songs and had the largely female crowd in a lather.

I’m sure you’ll be hearing more from them.
