Ryan Kwanten in talk show host mode

True Blood is one of those cult HBO TV series that i’ve yet to sink my teeth into. I’ve seen all the others (Mad Men, Curb your Enthusiasm, 6 Feet Under, The Wire, Entourage, etc..) but still haven’t dedicated the time to True Blood.

With the second series now airing in the US and all my twitter contacts are twittering on about how good it is, i thought it opportune to dig these shots of Ryan Kwanten from the archives.

The ex Home and Away actor stars as Jason Stackhouse in True Blood.

They were shot in December last year for a feature in Time Out Sydney about series one airing on Showtime.

It was one of those quick shoots while Ryan was doing a day of press.

To get something more interesting i tried getting some fake blood for Ryan to devilishly dribble from his mouth.

But it was a huge FAIL. The blood capsules i bought were rubbish and not realistic at all. Plus Ryan was wearing an expensive borrowed suit that his handler was getting agitated about staining.

But to give credit to Ryan, he went with the idea when some other ‘stars’ would have just said no.
